On September 9, Keidanren USA hosted Professor Jun Arima of the University of Tokyo’s Graduate School of Public Policy, and Executive Senior Fellow at the 21st Century Public Policy Institute, during his visit to Washington DC from Japan.  Professor Arima updated member companies on Japan’s energy and climate change issues in the wake of the Paris Agreement.  Attendees engaged with Professor Arima on such issues as the relationship between nuclear power and climate change measures, the context of carbon pricing, and the potential for an innovation breakthrough.
