Roundtable with Professor Fumiaki Kubo and Members of the Japan Institute of International Affairs U.S.-Japan Project

On March 1, Keidanren USA hosted members of the Japan Institute of International Affairs (JIIA) U.S.-Japan Project, led by Tokyo University Professor Fumiaki Kubo.  The other participating members were Keio University Professor Toshihiro Nakayama, Europe and the Americas Research Department Head Akihiko Yasui of the Mizuho Research Institute, and JIIA Research Fellow Asuka Matsumoto.  The discussion focused on what role Keidanren and the Japanese business sector could potentially play in improving U.S.-Japan relations.  Asia policy and trade policy in the context of the Presidential campaign, especially the Trump campaign, were also discussed.
