On November 15, Keidanren USA hosted Mr. Glen Fukushima, Senior Fellow at the Center for American Progress (CAP).  In the immediate aftermath of the Presidential election, Mr. Fukushima shared his thoughts on the prospects for U.S.-Japan relations.  He gave an overview of U.S.-Japan relations under the Obama administration, as well as an analysis of President-elect Trump’s views on Japan and possible policy approaches by a Trump administration.  The Q&A session saw discussion of such topics as potential business environment changes under the new administration, different approaches to infrastructure investment, and what direction the Democratic Party goes from here.
