The Japan Business Federation (Keidanren) and Brunswick Group, a leading British strategic advisory firm, conducted the “Survey on Attitudes Toward the Top Management of Global U.S. and Japan Companies” from August 2021 to January 2022. Keidanren and Brunswick conducted individual interviews with the upper management of approximately 20 leading Japanese and U.S. companies. Focusing on M&A and social issues, which are key considerations for business expansion in the U.S. market, Keidanren and Brunswick surveyed and analyzed the commonalities and differences in both Japanese and U.S. perceptions of American-style management on the topics of culture, trust, diversity, stakeholder management, and social issues.
This report contains the key findings from the survey.
