On October 14, Keidanren USA hosted an in-person roundtable discussion with Mr. David Wilezol, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Japan, Korea, and Mongolia in the State Department’s Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs (EAP).

DAS Wilezol discussed U.S. diplomatic engagement with Japan. Topics included economic security, technology cooperation, and collaboration in the defense and critical mineral sectors, as well as approaches to Chinese investment and the implications of the U.S.–China leaders’ meeting.
